"Good memories are the key not to the past, but to the future."
-Corrie ten Boom
The sun has set on summer...
but what fun we've had.
This month, a behind the scenes look at the indelible memories made in our fields over the summer.
Between harvests, there's a lot of shenanigans & laughter on our herbal tea farm.
*giggles are infused in our teas, you know*
Rainwater from Hibiscus
On a drizzly afternoon we noticed rainwater collecting in our hibiscus flowers.
Suddenly, we three felt a pang of thirst come over us.
A gentle tug was all it took.
We tipped & sipped.
"How was it?" you're thinking. Close your eyes and recall the taste of honeysuckle flowers on the tip of your tongue. Remember that nectar? If you know, you know.
Butterfly Safari
Some childhood experiences are not to be missed.
Chasing butterflies.
Although, butterflies are abundant in our fields, catching them is not as easy as it looks.
This day the girls helped their cousins, catch-and-release double digits of the lively pollinators.
For the curious reader:
Echinacea and Anise are butterfly favorites.
The Generosity of Fairies
Herbal tea farms are good fairy habitat.
Did you know?
And some of the most generous fairies live in our cultivation fields.
Our lavender fairy was kind enough to offer a gift to one daughter for her birthday this summer.
And if you're ever in our neighborhood, the 7-year old is our resident fairy expert.
Seasonal Suggestion
On chilly autumn days, summer memories always make me smile.
No blend sparks summer memories like the strawberry-lavender flavors in this blend.
If you sip slowly, you might even taste the laughter from our fields.
Our cultivation fields grow more than just ingredients. We make memories there each summer. And, if you're lucky, you get a sneek peek into the fun-filled moments that surround each leaf, blossom and berry.
As always, valuable customer:
Thank you
I'm honored to be your herbal tea farmer.
Be well,
Shannon
