Cups Overflowing
"He leads me beside still waters and restores my soul." -Psalm 23
In this season...
I sometimes wake with a sense of scarcity.
Scarcity of time.
Scarcity of resources.
Do you?
And then I watch a sunrise...
And I remember.
I have so much.
This month... a shift... just for this moment.
From:
A mindset of scarcity...lack... fear...
To:
A mindset of abundance... dwelling in the love... and beauty all around.
Simple Gifts
“Every time you smile at someone, it is an action of love, a gift to that person, a beautiful thing.”
-Mother Teresa
My 8-year old daughter is generous.
She doesn't have a job.
But her hugs:
Deep + Abundant + Freely Given
I often forget that profound gifts can be that simple.
For example (add your own):
A Smile
A Kind Word
A Song
What can I give back to my daughter?
A moment shared over a cup of tea
Time
Stillness
Presence
It costs me nothing. Yet, is so simple.
The Secret
“Consider how the wild flowers grow. They do not labor or spin. Yet I tell you, not even Solomon in all his splendor was dressed like one of these." -Luke 12:27
I am learning...
Such peace
can be found acknowledging nature's beauty.
A small moment
My attention rests
A flower...starry sky...sunrise...
The aroma of mint
The warmth of my teacup
And in that stillness...
I feel overflowing.
“Look at a tree, a flower, a plant. Let your awareness rest upon it. How still they are, how deeply rooted in ‘just being’. Allow nature to teach you stillness. When you look at a tree and perceive its stillness, you become still yourself.” -Ekhart Tolle
Simply Enough
"You are God's masterpiece." -Ephesians 2:10
Actually, the Greek word in that passage:
Poiēma
You.
A poem.
Thoughtfully constructed, with love, intention & purpose.
To inspire.
When scarcity feels real
in this season...
I sip
slowly
& remember.
You, I, we are each...
a poem.
enough.
As always:
Thank you
I'm honored to be your herbal tea farmer.
Be well,
Shannon
