On Time

Measuring Time
Sun Dials & Atomic Clocks

Nature.
That is the constant.

The way humans have measured time throughout history.

   Changing Seasons
      Moon Phases

         Sun Dials
            Now:  Atomic Clocks*

*Fun fact: Hydrogen atoms releasing light pulses in Boulder, CO keep America's official time.

On My Farm
Nature's time accompanies me too.
I walk through each season.
And, I marvel at Nature's cyclical loyalty.

Theory of Relativity
Simply: Time is Not Constant 

Einstein's contribution to physics:

Time is distorted by speed.
It's "relative."

In truth, humanity's most accurate measurements of time are a bit narrow.

But, you feel this truth. No?

Slow Down
Sip your tea.
And you intuitively understand.
Your speed allows those quiet moments...
To Linger

Now
"Now is the moment where eternity touches time." -Peter Hiatt

And so...
While the past and the future are inaccessible to us,

This moment is timeless.

Miraculous.

And I want to embrace the miracle that is this present moment.

A Gift
My teacup a catalyst of presence.

"God has made everything beautiful in its time...
   and set eternity on the human heart."   -Book of Ecclesiastes

While we are subject to the uni-directional flow of time, the miracle is that we have the opportunity to observe beauty unfold in each moment...eternity.

I want to slow each down.
To linger.
And so... I do.
