It's a Beautiful Day

“Don't let it get away”
–Bono

I love that song.

I just read lyricist and lead-singer, Bono's, book, Surrender.
Of this song, Bono writes:

"The song had lift-off and lifted us out of wherever we were in our lives.
It brought us into orbit and back to earth in 4 minutes and 5 seconds."

What makes this day beautiful?
What makes every day beautiful?

It's a beautiful day...
because it is a gift.

The Heart is a Bloom
"Shoots up through the stony ground."
*what farmer doesn't appreciate an opening like that?!*

Like a first spring bloom, I sometimes feel small.

I'm just one little girl with a...

   Small farm
      Small business
         Small town

My bloom sometimes feels small.

Do you?

I forget that from my blooms...

Thousands of teacups have been
Cradled
Inhaled
Savored

Your small bloom... it isn't.
*don't forget*

See the World in Green and Blue
"Because, what use is lift-off if, being that high, you don't get the advantage of perspective?"
-Bono, Surrender

Of this lyric, Bono says it was inspired by Astronaut, Neil Armstrong from Apollo 11.

Neil said:

"It suddenly struck me that tiny pea, pretty and blue was the earth."

From That Perspective...
   Clarity
      Boundaries Disappear

From a distance we’re all in this together.

Just as each ingredient offers its best to create a tea-drinking experience.
One sip.
A collection of flavors offering their best.
To create  harmonies.

See the Bird with a Leaf in Her Mouth
“After the flood all the colors came out."

There is something divinely beautiful about...

Diversity

To walk through my field is to bask in nature's artistry.

  Many Ingredients
    Each Unique
       Contributing to the Whole

And for that diverse beauty...

I am
Breathtakingly
Grateful

Of this lyric, Bono says:

"Then, yes, after the confusion of everyone speaking in their own tongue, comes the rainbow.
That is still the motif for how we might embrace diversity.
Not just ecologically.
It's a beautiful day."

-Bono, Surrender

"What you don't have you don't need it now."
Isn't it something to acknowledge: we have all we need.
Such simple gifts:

Purpose...Perspective...Diversity.

A cup of tea... infused with:

Sunshine...Precipitation...A New Season.

It's a beautiful day.

As always:

Thank you

I'm honored to be your herbal tea farmer.

Be well,
Shannon
