Fully Filled
“My cup runneth over." -Psalm 23:5
Harvest Season: The Finale Has Arrived
And, the time has come for this herbal tea farmer to take stock of what she has gathered.
To ask:
Is there enough?
Do I have what I need?
Am I fully filled?
The answer: Yes
The Fruit of my Labor: Abundant
My Storehouse: Filled
My Cup: Overflowing
When I realize I have enough, gratitude and generosity become my mindset.
The overflow is grateful sharing.
Fully Filled. Enough.
We each are.
How much do you need?
"More"... I used to say
"Enough"...I now say
Enough to share.
As abundance should be.
This month I welcomed UpRoot Colorado, and numerous school groups to my field.
I relish in the pleasure of sharing berries.
Delight.
Generosity.
Joy.
People ask: "What makes your tea so good?"
I confess: "These are the secret ingredients."
“Happiness doesn’t lie in the objects we gather around us.
What matters most are the simple pleasures so abundant that we can all enjoy them."
-Antoine de Saint-Exupéry, The Little Prince
How are you doing?
"Busy"... I used to say
"Worthy"...I now say
I used to think that my busy-ness defined my worth.
I am learning...
My worth is in choosing to fully-fill each moment with inherent value.
Do you know that each moment is a gift?
Busy or simply breathing.
Work. Rest. Play.
It doesn't matter.
Your worth is not "busy."
It is in choosing to give worth to whatever this moment holds.
“There is absolutely nothing you can do, get, or accomplish that could make you any worthier of goodness than you are at this exact moment.”
― Panache Desai
What's the Goal?
"To Survive"... I used to say
"To Thrive"... I now say
Just make it to the
End of the day...
Weekend...
Vacation...
Retirement...
So prone, I can be to embrace the mindset of delayed gratification.
But in so doing, life is simply survival.
It doesn't feel full.
I am learning to look into "now" with gratitude...
Now is an opportunity to
learn + grow + nourish + bless
And when I look... I see it!
“My mission in life is not merely to survive, but to thrive; and to do so with some passion, some compassion, some humor, and some style.”
— Maya Angelou
"How could there be any question of acquiring or possessing, when the one thing needful for a man is to become - to be at last, and to die in the fullness of his being."
-Antoine de Saint-Exupery
